One Mans Opinion  2/23/2011
By Dewaine Shoulders

The world is coming apart piece by piece.

The Middle East is in turmoil. Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Iran, and other nations are calling for democracy. Egypt ousted its president/dictator after a 30-year reign. Egypt was an American-friendly nation that also had a long peace with Israel. Now, the Muslim Brotherhood may take the nation over and the peace between Egypt and Israel may come to an abrupt end.

Our illustrious leader, our beloved (gag me) Community Organizer in Chief, who sang the praises of the Egyptian coup, has said squat about the rest of the Middle East wanting democracy over thugocracy... I mean theocracy. For example, there is Libya: Obama has said nothing. He has relied on his press secretary and Hilary Clinton to offer cautious appraisals and condemnation of the Libya thugocracy. Where is Obama? Would speaking to the American people or sending hopes of a peaceful transition to freedom to the people of Libya be too much for him to express? Or would it interfere with a golf game or a vacation?

It looks like gas prices might spike because of the Libya ordeal. But not to worry, Obama will remind everyone we need Green Energy and then go play some Basketball.

On another note, Christchurch, New Zealand had a major earthquake yesterday, and all I have heard from the White House was that Obama had been advised about it. He hasn't said anything (as of the time of this writing) about the devastation, or America's offer of assistance.

Normally, any other president would have issued a statement regarding the catastrophe by now, but not this one. Nope, our wonderful Community Organizer in Chief has said zilch so far. What a guy!

Here at home, this administration is suing Arizona for trying to secure its borders; something that the federal government is supposed to be doing in the first place. Now we have the debacle in Wisconsin and now in Ohio and Indiana where Democrats are leaving the states or just not showing up to vote on their state budgets and Right to Work laws. Is Obama telling his fellow Democrats to get back to work, or is he behind the scenes, directing the demonstrations by teachers and professional protestors? I would say the latter of the two would be correct.

Ladies and gentlemen, we no longer have leaders running our country. We have a bunch of idiots dressed in suits doing whatever they can to bankrupt the nation, the states... And from the looks of it, the entire world!

And here we are in 2011- We have Muslim extremists acting like barbarians from the Middle Ages; wanting to take the entire world back to those thrilling days of yesteryear under Sharia Law. As of yesterday, Somalia pirates have killed four Americans, and Somali's (Muslims) in Minnesota are calling for Sharia Law to be implemented there.

And Obama has said what about these things? Is that crickets I hear chirping?

Is it me or has the world gone completely bonkers?

I may not be able to fix what’s broken elsewhere in the world, but I do have an idea how to repair the damage that has been done here at home.

What this nation needs is a real leader! One who can pull this nation back from the brink and place us back on the path that will lead us to opportunities for growth and prosperity. The Community Organizer in Chief we have now wants to take America and turn it into Cuba.

We need a leader that can do the hard things - making swift decisions in an ever-changing world - and be unafraid of public opinion.

Our Community Organizer in Chief took 90 days to decide to accept help in the Gulf of Mexico during the oil spill last year. He had to consult the unions first, it seemed.

We need a leader that can and will do what is constitutionally sound, not circumvent the constitution at every turn, like the current Community Organizer in Chief does on a daily basis.

Moreover, we need a leader that can show the rest of the world that America is back and stronger than ever. Not a Community Organizer in Chief that shows the world that America should apologize to the world for being arrogant.

Hey Obama, if had not been for America, the rest of the world would have been overrun by Nazis and living in fear right now! Or didn't your socialist friends and professors tell you that?

What America needs is a true leader, not the Manchurian Candidate we have now in the White House.

So who could be that leader?

I have said in the past that I hoped for a Palin/Bachmann ticket for the GOP in 2012. But with the state of the world being as it is now, I think I need to look for a stronger ticket. I like Michelle Bachmann, but I think we need an Allen West for the VP role. Allen West is by far the strongest choice to be on a Sarah Palin ticket. And I do believe that only Sarah Palin has the strength of character and the wisdom to do what wonder boy Obama has yet to do… Be a president!

Therefore, as of today, I am hoping and praying for a Palin/West ticket in 2012. Those two are America's last best hope.

But that's just my opinion, I could be right!

One Mans Opinion 2/16/2011
By Dewaine Shoulders

Who else will try to take on Sarah Palin?

We all know that the leftist media and bloggers are on a daily quest to destroy Sarah Palin, come hell or high water; But what about those on the right?

Obviously, since the 2012 presidential race is already starting to get into motion, who will go after Sarah Palin? Probably every GOP candidate will for starts. Sarah Palin is about to get a steady stream of attacks from her own party because they need to make a name for themselves. And by going after her, these candidates are sure to get easy media coverage, thus making themselves seem like a frontrunner.

Case in point: last week, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum accidently (or on purpose?) started a little controversy by suggesting (during an online radio interview) that Sarah Palin might not attend the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) because "she has some demands on her time, and a lot of them have financial benefit attached to them." He then added that Palin had responsibilities as a mother of five children.

Now, according to Sen. Santorum, he was simply saying that Sarah Palin was busy and didn't mean to say anything otherwise. Of course, Sarah Palin read between the lines. Sarah Palin said she wouldn't call Rick Santorum a “knuckle-dragging Neanderthal." She then added, “I'll let his wife call him that instead."

Next up: During his CPAC speech, South Dakota Senator John Thune said, "The closest I've come to being on a reality TV show is C-SPAN's live coverage of the Senate floor." Although he never mentioned Sarah Palin's by name, the audience knew exactly who he was referring to.

Touché, Sen. Thune, but I have doubts that you'll be remembered much past the presidential debates when you can't hang with the big boys (or girls).

So, is it open season on Sarah Palin? Or is this a wise move on the other candidates parts? As for Rick Santorum and John Thune, going after Sarah Palin must make sense, as they wouldn't have done it otherwise, I do believe.

It makes sense that a lesser-known candidate, one who would otherwise remain in the shadows, jabs at a better-known candidate so that they can make a name for themselves in the process. Free press time equals more name exposure, thus it's a win-win for them.

On the other hand, there have been a couple of folks in the GOP that have said kind things about Sarah Palin. So far, that is.

Newt Gingrich has called Sarah Palin a "Formidable person in her own right."
Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour has said that Sarah Palin was "A heck of a lot smarter than she gets credit for."

And even former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney praised her recently, calling her, "An extraordinarily powerful and effective voice in our party".

I'm sure those folks will have to change their views as the campaign rolls on. So, look for the mud slinging from the other GOP hopefuls to begin the moment Sarah Palin announces her intentions in the coming weeks. Things are sure to be interesting. But as she has taken so much from the left already, I doubt that anyone on the right can top it.

But that's just my opinion, I could be right.

One Mans Opinion - 2/9/11
By Dewaine Shoulders

No Sarah Palin February

Let me begin this blog by saying: in honor of the 'No Sarah Palin February' I'm not going to mention Sarah Palin's name, nor will I talk about Sarah Palin.

I'll not even so much as articulate my admiration for Sarah Palin and how I believe Sarah Palin would be a great president.

I won't even utter Sarah Palin's name... Not once.

Nope, I'll not say anything about Sarah Palin at all! I'll respect the No Sarah Palin February by NOT mentioning anything about Sarah Palin! Nary an utterance of Sarah Palin's name will be mentioned... Nada... Zilch.

Let's face it - The mainstream media will have a boring month without Sarah Palin.

So, let them TRY to NOT mention Sarah Palin this month. I bet they will fail... Unlike myself, because I didn't mention Sarah Palin once in this blog.* I know somehow, some way, Sarah Palin will be mentioned more this month than previous months because without Sarah Palin, the mainstream media would have little else to talk about. No news item is complete without Sarah Palin either being blamed or accused of something. Why, the mainstream media would collapse without at least mentioning Sarah Palin ten times a day; Spewing wildly about any gaffes Sarah Palin made or pointing out that Sarah Palin is divisive.

So, In respect of the No Sarah Palin February, Sarah Palin is not being mentioned by me at all; not once! No Sarah Palin stories... No Sarah Palin reports... No Sarah Palin whatsoever!

I'll also say that Sarah Palin is tenacious, and looking more and more like a president every single day!

But that's just my opinion, I could be right!

*I 'll save you the count. I did not mention Sarah Palin's name once...  But I did mention her 27 times in this blog, thus I didn't mention Sarah Palin's name once... Oops, make that 28 times... Once for each day in February.

Palin vs. Obama: The truth behind the mainstream media’s drooling over the POTUS and their vendetta against Sarah Palin.

(Jan. 27, 2011)
Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama experienced a rare speaking stumble Thursday, mixing up Iraq and Afghanistan when responding in a YouTube interview to questions challenging the wars in those countries.
The president twice referred to Afghanistan when clearly talking about the situation in Iraq.
By: CNN's Tom Cohen

There are two things that come to mind when I think about this – The first being that our current Community Organizer in Chief has made more and bigger blunders than Sarah Palin, but only Mrs. Palin get’s called out for them by the MSM.

Supposedly, Mr. Obama is a far more educated man than Mrs. Palin… So what’s his excuse?

Mr. Obama. the Harvard-educated citizen of the world that he is, who is hailed by many as the “smartest president ever,” has made many mistakes - but hardly a mention of it comes from the MSM. And if they do, they apologize for him--- He was tired from saving the world, etc.

But when Sarah Palin makes the occasional gaffe (as all of us do from time to time by the way), the meme from the left-leaning media pundits and talking heads resounds loud and clear --- She’s stupid, she should STFU, etc.

Case in point is the aforementioned CNN story; Barely a paragraph was written concerning Obama’s gaffe. But if Sarah Palin made a similar gaffe, there would be volumes written about it, and in the most hateful of terms.
The second thing: the Left tries so very hard to make Sarah Palin irrelevant. Well, that’s funny. For someone so irrelevant, the Left has spent more time and money going after her than defending their own positions. Funny how their own positions don’t matter, because Sarah Palin is the cause of all of their problems! They call her names; they cast suspicions on her family life and even some call for her death.

For someone so irrelevant, this is much ado about nothing…Right?
I love it when they call her foolish and uneducated. Apparently, the very ones that attempt to pin those titles on her are the same simpleton leftist tools that lavish accolades on the Community Organizer in Chief, who still has yet to travel to all 57 states and can’t form two sentences without the aid of a teleprompter. Have you heard him talking off the cuff? Er’s and Uh’s take up most of the time he attempts to speak. He clearly can’t think on his feet.
Sarah Palin can think on her feet... But she didn’t go to Harvard, so she’s stupid. WTF?

It’s ironic that the Left is so obsessed with someone like Sarah Palin. When she Tweets or posts something on Facebook it becomes International news! Palin Derangement Syndrome has become a national pastime for these folks. I’m surprised that Vegas odds makers haven’t jumped in on this action yet. Give ‘em time, and I bet they will!

The lamestream media and leftist loonfish bloggers have labeled her an idiot, and not worthy of media attention. Why then do they spend millions of dollars on ads, blogs, news articles and reports on her?

I have even read bloggers lamenting the fact that she makes millions off of stupid people. Funny, Al Gore does it and he gets Nobel Prizes and Oscars, not to mention millions of dollars from his speaking engagements and all you hear are crickets chirping from the left when it comes to that subject.
Some even say Sarah Palin has no job, yet she makes millions of dollars. Hmm?

As far as I know, she does have a job --- a couple of them in fact. She’s a mother, and that constitutes a job. She is a business owner with her husband, Todd, so that could be considered a job. In addition, of course, she works for Fox News as a contributor (another annoyance of the left). To me, that means she’s employed and earning an honest living.

Also, she makes money speaking all around the country, from people who want to hear what she has to say. That seems to be a job for everyone on the left who does it… But just not for Sarah Palin.

It’s actually hilarious if you stop to think about it. The left has a new psychological-disorder to contend with ---

It’s called Sarah Palin Envy!

But that’s just my opinion, I could be right!
