One Mans Opinion

The recent hit-piece in Vanity Fair - Sarah Palin the Sound and the Fury by Michael Joseph Gross – reminds me of a jealous schoolgirl who’s ragging on a fellow student, just because they are more popular. The tone of the article is meant to display Sarah Palin in a bad light.
Gomer Pyle would have said, “Surprise, surprise, surprise!”
Mr. Gross and Vanity Fair are trying to sell the readers on the fact that Sarah Palin is only ‘in it for the money’ and that she’s lying to her Tea Party faithful. Mr. Gross seems to exude a jealousy of both her popularity and the money she has made since leaving the governorship of Alaska (thanks to the steady stream of frivolous lawsuits from the left that threatened to cost Alaska tens of millions of dollars and personally bankrupt the Palin family in the process).
The truth be known, the author of this pseudo-article is a person whose bias is blatantly obvious. He dislikes Sarah Palin and, by extension, anyone who happens to like her. Having read the hit-piece, I came away with the feeling that he doesn’t like what she stands for, or that she has the ability to reach out to people on a level not seen since Ronald Reagan (I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Sarah Palin is this generations Ronald Reagan!).
Sarah Palin connects with people, whereas the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. has split the country into several pieces. Sarah Palin is extremely popular among the Tea Party faithful (who dislike the failed policies of the current administration), and who has made money the old-fashioned way... She’s earned it!
With his own words, his bias and distaste for Sarah Palin shows through like that jealous schoolgirl...
‘With few exceptions—mostly Palin antagonists in journalism and politics whose beefs with her have long been out in the open—virtually no one who knows Palin well is willing to talk about her on the record, whether because they are loyal and want to protect her (a small and shrinking number), or because they expect her prominence to grow and intend to keep their options open, or because they fear she will exact revenge, as she has been known to do.’
Here, he’s trying to put into the minds of her followers (and those that might) that she is a bitter, hateful woman, full of the trumped-up ‘elitists’ attitudes that she claims to be against. Call it bait and switch or smoke and mirrors, Mr. Gross is doing what the Lamestream Media has been doing since 2008, and that’s playing the ‘Let’s Destroy Sarah Palin Game!’ These so-called informational articles are designed to make Sarah Palin look like a thief, a con-artist and a person out to destroy America, one Tea Bagger at a time.
But what Mr. Gross doesn’t tell you is who these anonymous people are. The ones that are ‘whispering the truth about Sarah Palin.’
‘...speaking with whomever I could induce to talk under whatever conditions of anonymity they imposed—political strategists, longtime Palin friends and political associates, hotel staff, shopkeepers and hairstylists, and high-school friends of the Palin children. There’s a long and detailed version of what they had to say, but there’s also a short and simple one: anywhere you peel back the skin of Sarah Palin’s life, a sad and moldering strangeness lies beneath.’
So, where are your sources, Mr. Gross? Who is saying what? And why are they wishing to remain anonymous? Or could it be that you made it all up so your readers could see how you can also play the ‘Let’s Destroy Sarah Palin Game!’ Your bias is showing like the midriff of a teenage girl showing off her new navel ring. It’s more than obvious what you’re trying to do here, and yet trying to sound, ahem, objective. Objectivity and liberalism go together like rot-gut whiskey at a debutant ball. And from the tone of Mr. Gross’ article, he’s drank way too much; slurring Sarah Palin like she was an ex-girlfriend who broke-up with him for the high school quarterback. I do believe Mr. Gross (like most liberals) is jealous of Sarah Palin in just that way.
They want their own Sarah Palin... But they want an ‘anti-Sarah Palin.’ And if they can’t have that, then they will continue to try to destroy her!
The faithful readers of Vanity Fair, with a reported circulation of 1.1 million, obviously are drooling over this article. But, revenues to liberal magazines and newspapers have dropped, just like their readership. So, hate doesn’t sell as well as it used to. And this hit-piece is another example of their hatred of Conservative Values and Sarah Palin herself. And its an example of why the left is not so much afraid that Sarah Palin will destroy America, but the fear that she will destroy the Socialist Utopia that they are trying to create in America!
I said that Mr. Gross sounded like a jealous schoolgirl, but the more I think about it, jealous schoolgirls have more intellectual integrity. Michael Joseph Gross doesn’t come across as someone that has much integrity; he just seems to have an unquenchable thirst to show his elitist friends that anyone that believes in Sarah Palin are being fooled. But the truth be known, the fools are the ones that discount the Sarah Palin Effect.
It's the liberals that will be getting the hit come November!
But that’s just my opinion, I could be right!
