One Mans Opinion 10/14/2010

In the 'Everything is Relative Department' -

According to Ancestry.com, The current Community Organizer in Chief is related to a few of the Rights biggest names. It seems that Barack Obama is related to former President George W. Bush, former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and radio host extraordinaire Rush Limbaugh.

The genealogists at the Utah-based Ancestry.com stated that Obama and Palin are '10th cousins.' They have a common ancestor named John Smith, who happened to be a pastor and early settler in 17th-century Massachusetts.

Obama is related to Smith through his mother and so is Palin. Obama is also a 10th cousin to Rush Limbaugh. They have a common ancestor by the name of Richmond Terrell, who arrived in America in the mid-17th century and who was a landowner in Virginia.

Ancestry.com found that former President George Bush is related to both Obama and Palin. Obama and Bush are 11th cousins through common ancestor Samuel Hinckley, while Bush and Palin are 10th cousins one time removed, also through Hinckley. Samuel Hinckley was John Smith's father-in-law.

Ancestry.com had earlier said that Obama was related to investor Warren Buffett and actor Brad Pitt. It has also found that Sarah Palin is a distant cousin of both Franklin D Roosevelt and Princess Diana.

Hmm?

After some painstaking research (at least 5 minutes) I discovered that I am related to the Kennedy clan, thus I wish to have the Kennedy family wire me money so that I'll not tell anyone about it. I'll take $1 million dollars in small, unmarked bills, sent to me via Pony Express to a P.O. Box in Tupelo, Mississippi. Just address it to Elvis. I'll take it from there.

But seriously, this proves one important point, we are all related somehow. The DNA that we share is called humanity. And we come from centuries of inbreeding and cross-breeding, and we could all find our origins somewhere in Northern Africa in a place that used to be called Eden.

It's good to know that Obama is at least human, and not some alien from the planet Manchuria. But I bet Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, George Bush and Dick Cheney came from the deeper end of the gene pool. After all, liberalism is just so shallow!

But that's just my opinion, I could be right!
